Mountains into Molehills

August 22 | Exodus 7:4-5

Daily Bread

““But Pharaoh will not listen to you. I will put my hand on Egypt and I will bring My hosts, My people, the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt with great punishing judgments. Then the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord when I stretch out My hand against Egypt and bring the children of Israel out from them.”” (Exodus 7:4–5)

Have you faced a mountain you couldn’t get past? It seemed bigger than God. Can He help you? Your worries and doubts outweighed your faith. You weren’t even sure you should pray and ask God for help. Maybe things are just supposed to be the way they are.

The Israelites were slaves in Egypt for over 400 years. Moses was the unlikely leader. God can to him, a shepherd on the backside of the desert. This wilderness redneck didn’t even think he could do it.

But God would show himself strong among the Egyptians. He challenged their gods with each plague. He overpowered their gods, Showing How He could do what they couldn’t. He used Moses to set His people free.

God’s power is unmatched in the universe. Nothing stands against Him. He has set you free from sin and given His power to you through the Holy Spirit. Stand in His power. He makes your mountains molehills before you. God makes a way whether seems to be no way.

Action Step: Walk in God’s power. The devil is a defeated foe. You have God’s authority. Ask anything in Jesus’s name.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your power in me. Heal people through me. Empower me to serve You. Do miracles through me, and increase my faith to see the wonders of old in my generation.
