April 25 | Ephesians 1:3

 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ” (Ephesians 1:3)

People like to shop at Walmart because they think they get a good deal. But the people who own Walmart also own Sam’s Club. At Sam’s Club, when you buy in bulk you save money. I like to buy books in bundles because I save money.

Buying in bulk usually means we get a lot more for our buck. When we look at salvation, we get a lot more for our buck than we bargained for. Most people don’t realize what all happens when Jesus saves us.

Ephesians 1 begins to tell you all that Jesus does the moment you commit your life to Him and walk with Him. You get so much when you are saved. The first thing is about your spiritual blessings in Christ.

He begins with blessing the Father for what He has planned for you. Salvation is just the beginning, but it starts with a bang. You have every spiritual blessing God has to offer. You walk in His blessing every day.

But “spiritual blessings” sounds quite vague. What are they? Paul will tell you in the coming days. Spiritual blessings are only yours because you know Jesus. Rejoice that you know Him and enjoy His spirit blessings.

Action Step: Bless the Lord for your spiritual blessings. Thank Him that you are accounted among those who receive blessings from God.

Thank You, Lord, that You have made me Your child. I bless Your name and worship You today. I am part of Your family because of Your grace. Help me to remember Your blessings as I go through my day.
