• Walking by Faith

    June 13 | Genesis 12:1-3; Hebrews 11:8

“Then the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your homeland and your relatives and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. And I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, and you will be a blessing, and I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse the one who curses you, and through you all the families of the earth will be blessed.” (Genesis 12:1–3)

By faith, Abraham obeyed when He was called to go to a place He was about to receive as an inheritance, and He went out, not knowing where He was going..” (Hebrews 11:8)

Many people believe stepping out in faith is stepping into the abyss, blind faith hoping you’re not wrong. But Abraham stepped out in faith, trusting God for His next step. The Bible doesn’t say Abraham questioned God or asked for clarification.

I usually want the next step before I take this step. If I were Abraham and God said, “Go to a place I’ll tell you later,” I would press Him for details. But that’s not what faith is. If we are going to trust God, we must totally trust Him.

It’s not blind faith to trust in the Lord because He can see much farther than you can. He will not lead you astray. If He calls you to go somewhere or do something, step into it with your full weight. Follow His leading to experience His blessing.

Action Step: To truly trust in the Lord means you don’t ask questions. When He says jump, you jump. Place your future and all your cares in His hands.

Jesus, I trust You completely. I know I’m better in Your hands then in my own. Whatever You want me to do, I give my all to You. I know You will bless me as I dive in unreservedly.
