The Blessings of God’s Grace

November 24 | Ephesians 2:5-6

Daily Bread

“Even while we were dead in our trespasses, He made us alive together with Christ – by grace you have been saved – and raised and seated in the heavenly realms together with Christ…” (Ephesians 2:5-6)

Most Christians don’t realize everything Jesus did when He saved them. Looking at our identity in Christ shows us the power of our salvation. The kicker is that Jesus did this by His grace, and we did nothing to earn it. But many Christians work so hard in themselves to do what Jesus already did.

How do you respond to such grace? God’s grace is a mystery. You deserve judgment. Instead of judging you, God sent Jesus to rescue you from sin and provide a place in God’s family with all the benefits. His death brought you to life.

One amazing benefit of salvation is that you are seated with Jesus in the heavenly realms. He guaranteed your place for eternity. I don’t know about you, but I am left speechless. What can we say about Jesus? We could never repay His goodness and grace.

He saved you from eternal condemnation, raised you to a high place in God’s family, will raise you from the dead when He comes again, and seeds you with Him. Think about your life before you met Jesus. Even the best story before you met Jesus crumbles before His grace. Jesus has crowned you with blessings.

Action Step: Thank Jesus for His indescribable gift of grace. Obey the Lord when He speaks to you. Be generous to others.

Lord Jesus, I humbly contemplate Your grace toward me. I deserved Your worst, but You gave me everything. I am so thankful for all You have done for me. All I can do is thank You and the live worthy of You ..
