September 5 | Isaiah 40:21-23
“Do you not know? Do you not see? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth? He who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in, who brings rulers to nothing, the chieftains of the earth as worthless” (Isaiah 40:21–23)
Is your trial bigger than your God? Is the mountain in front of you bigger than your faith? It’s time to adjust your perspective. There is nothing too great for God. He is the God of the impossible.
Isaiah talks about God in such great and magnificent ways. He sits above the earth. He is above creation and nothing you face is bigger than Him. He controls all of creation and your situation is not a surprise to Him.
God is the God of the mountains. Imagine God coming down on your impossible mountain trial as he did on Mount Sinai. His voice booms like the thunder of heaven. His presence melts the mountain with fire.
When you understand how big your God is all your troubles float away. They dissolve in the presence of Almighty God. When you have the proper perspective of God there is nothing too great for Him. Nothing is impossible.
Action Step: Trust God to destroy your problems and troubles today. Refocus your image of God and His ability. Give your trial to the Lord.
Lord Jesus, I lay my troubles at your feet today. I give you complete control. Teach me to wait on You in the silence and hear Your Voice. You are the God of this mountain and I rest in Your presence.
