God Almighty

September 9 | Genesis 17:1-3

“And it happened that when Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I Myself am God Almighty. Walk before Me and be blameless that I may make My covenant between Me and you, and may multiply you greatly.” So Abram fell on his face, and God spoke to him,” (Genesis 17:1–3)

There are times when you need heaven and earth to move. Without someone to change your situation, you’re not going to make it. You are desperate, on your knees with that pit in your stomach. You feel hopeless.

But God is here for you. God Almighty has real power to do what you need. When He came to Abraham He called himself El Shaddai, the God of the Mountains. His strength is more than enough for you.

Only He can move heaven and earth. His power is absolute. You must respond like Abraham, falling on your face before Him in worship. When you need power and strength, God is your only hope, your only option.

God has the power to do what Abraham couldn’t. He would make great nations out of Abraham, whose wife was barren. He would give Abraham and His descendants the land He walked upon. And most of all, He promised to be their God, to walk with them to victory. Do you need a miracle today? You have nowhere else to turn. You come to God in desperation, but He wants to bless you.

Action Step: Come to God in confidence because you are His child. He wants to hear from you. Speak in humble confidence to your Father.

Heavenly Father, I come before You and bow at Your feet. I’m desperate. I need Your help more than ever before. I know You want to pour out Your blessing upon me. Thank You for Your grace and mercy lavishly given to me.me.
