April 10 | Daniel 7:13-14

“I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came One like a Son of Man, and He came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before Him, and to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, and all peoples, nations, and languages will serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion which will not pass away, and His kingdom, one that will not be destroyed.” (Daniel 7:13–14)

Have you ever stopped and imagined what heaven will be like? Even the descriptions in the Bible fall short of that glorious place and our experience there. What will it be like to be with Jesus forever? We know how to get to heaven, but imagining that place and the relationships there is beyond us.

It’s something to look forward to, something to work toward, and we will only do it by God’s grace and the Holy Spirit’s help. Daniel saw a wonderful vision of the glorious Son of Man, Jesus, receiving glory and a never ending Kingdom.

We have every reason to worship Jesus, and not only from this passage. It presents Jesus as the one coming on the clouds. He presented Himself to God, but soon He will come in the clouds for you. Are you ready to be part of that everlasting dominion and Kingdom? Nothing can separate you from Jesus or keep you from that eternal inheritance.

Action Step: Worship Jesus and thank Him for your eternal inheritance. Live each day in gratitude for all Jesus has done for you and has given you.

King Jesus, thank You for the inheritance You have laid up for me. I bow before You and worship You. My finite mind cannot understand or picture what it will be like to be with You forever. I cannot wait until that day You come in the clouds for me! Even so, Lord Jesus, come.
