February 26 | Proverbs 3:5-6

“Trust the Lord with all your heart and don’t lean on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He Himself will make your ways straight.” (Proverbs 3:5–6)
Have you ever played the trust game? One person stands behind another, ready to catch them. They tell the person to lean back. Most people have trouble, closing their eyes and hoping the person catches them.
We all have trouble trusting other people. Even if we say we trust them, eventually something like the image in this game comes along. Our trust is tested. Will it stand the test of time?
The one Person you can trust beyond all others is the Lord. He will never let you down or let you fall to the ground. You only lean on sturdy things. Your own understanding, the way you think, reason, and have insight, will never be as strong as the mind of Christ.
Acknowledge the Lord in everything you do. At work, at home, every blessing, they are all because the Lord is blessing you. Acknowledge the Lord. Give Him full credit for everything good in your life.
The Lord guides your steps. All too often we think we are in charge of our own lives, our own destiny. But God orders your steps. It’s best to ask Him where you should be going and what you should be doing today.
Action Step: Ask the Lord where He wants to lead you today. When you need understanding or skill, ask the Lord for it. He gives generously whatever you need. Trust Him more than anyone or anything else.
Father, what do You want me to do today? Where should I go? Who should I speak to? I know You guide me in everything I do. I lay my schedule at Your feet. Speak and act through me to bless others.
