The Faith to Go

August 8 | Genesis 12:1-3

“Then the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your homeland and your relatives and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. And I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great and you will be a blessing, and I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse the one who curses you, and through you all the families of the earth will be blessed.” (Genesis 12:1–3)

What would it be like to go to a new place without a GPS? We’ve become so used to that little digital voice telling us what to go. If we were to go anywhere without one today we would be lost for hours taking the “scenic route.”

Got called Abraham to go and do just that. He wandered throughout the land until God showed in the right place to settle. It takes faith to listen to God so closely that you know where he wants you to go and not question Him.

But God also told Abraham that He would make him a great nation. God’s promises set the tone for His call to faith. His great promises are true for you as you walk the path to holiness. God has promised great things for those who obey and follow Him.

God will blow your mind as you live for Him and come into your inheritance. But He has called you along with His promise. You must go forth in faith and He will bless you beyond your wildest dreams

Action Step: Follow God’s plan for your life. Don’t question Him. Trust Him to guide you to the place He has for you.

Jesus, You are my Leader and you know what’s best for me. I know You see the road far in advance. Lead me and I will follow You. I trust Your plan for my life. Thank You for the blessings you are bringing me.
