The Crucified Life

March 30 | Galatians 2:20

Daily Bread

“I have been crucified with Christ, and I myself no longer live, but Christ lives in me, and the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in God’s Son who loved me and handed Himself over for even me.” (Galatians 2:20)

Every day you must put your fleshly desires in their place. You fight to keep selfishness and pride away. The struggle is real. Paul understood. He wrote about putting the flesh away from you. He beautifully described your goal when he talked about the crucified life.

He reminds us that to live this life, we must surrender to Jesus by being crucified with Him. It’s about His sacrificial life in you. You are dead to your desires, pride, and entitlements. You belong to Christ. It’s not about your agenda. You serve Christ.

Your new desire is that people see Jesus in you. You live by faith. You want everything Jesus has promised. You live because Jesus gave Himself for you. His sacrifice is your reward. You owe your life to Him. So, you live for Jesus. Everything you do is to make Him &smile.

This crucified life means you ignore temptation. Your day and agenda belong to Jesus. Your first thought is, “What does Jesus have for me today.” He is your priority. You want to show everyone Jesus’s love. You want to be a good representative for Him.

Action Step: How can you show Jesus’s love to people today? Does Jesus have divine appointments for you? How can you plan your day around Jesus’s agenda?

Jesus, show me how I can serve You today. I offer my life, my plans, and everything I am to You. How can I bring You joy? I surrender my plans and my agenda today to You. Make me a servant of all and a blessing to everyone I meet.
