September 13 | 1 Corinthians 12:8

“For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom, to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit,” (1 Corinthians 12:8)

The Holy Spirit knows exactly what to say and when to say it. There’s nothing like a word of knowledge or wisdom from the Lord. It hits the mark and ministers directly to your need. He never misses when He speaks to you.

To some He gives the gift of the word of wisdom and the word of knowledge. His word of knowledge cuts to the heart. He speaks through you a message to someone, something you don’t know, but He knows.

It speaks directly to the issue that person is dealing with. It ministers the Lord’s knowledge to a specific need. Sometimes it prophetically calls a person out. Other times it encourages a person in the midst of indecision or trials.

The Spirit’s word of knowledge is often accompanied with the gift of the word of wisdom. You may speak a word of knowledge that speaks to a need and then give a word of wisdom that counsels a person through the Spirit on how to act on that word of knowledge.

The Spirit is the Spirit of wisdom. He gives direction through His word of wisdom and helps people to act on this knowledge. He brings light through you, revelation and guidance. Does the Spirit one to minister in these gifts through you?

Action Step: Let the Holy Spirit minister through you the word of knowledge and the word of wisdom. He will speak through you to guide others.
