Pure Gold

March 27 | Job 23:10

Daily Bread

“But He knows the way I take; when He has tested me, I will come out like pure gold.” (Job 23:10)

Do you know God’s design for you? He’s writing your story chapter by chapter. We can only read the chapters after we have lived them. Even then, we may not see His fingerprints of divine design on our life story.

Job could not see God. He didn’t know if God was before Him, behind Him, or on His sides. But one thing He knew: every test God gave Him would make Him the person God wanted Him to be. God is working on you. He’s not finished with you yet.

Do you get impatient with the progress He’s making in you? Perhaps we are willing to admit it’s not His fault. From the times we are disobedient or don’t listen, we should be amazed at how much He has done.

God directs your steps, and He knows the way you take. He knows how long it will take Him to finish His masterpiece in you. Paul talks about God’s program for your spiritual development, to make you in the image of His Son Jesus. Trust His process and progress. He is working all things together for your good. He knows what is good for you.

Action Step: Look at your life and evaluate how you have changed from before you met Jesus. Do you see God’s fingerprints on your life?

Heavenly Father, help me see the great things You’re doing in me. Give me faith in my times of doubt. When I fall short, help me get back on track with You. Show me all the good Things You are working in me. I trust Your process.
