August 23 | Joshua 10:12-14
“At that time Joshua spoke to the Lord on the day when the Lord gave the Amorites to the children of Israel, and he said in Israel’s sight, “Sun, stand still at Gibeon, and moon in the Valley of Aijalon.” And the sun stood still, and the moon stopped until the nation took vengeance on their enemies. Is this not written in the scroll of Jashar? So the sun stopped in the middle of the heavens and did not hurry for about an entire day. There has not been a day like it before or since when the Lord listened to a man’s voice, for the Lord fought for Israel.” (Joshua 10:12–14)
Sometimes we feel like the day will never end. On our most tired days it seems to drag on forever. We long for our pillows but the day keeps going. Why is it when we enjoy ourselves the day is so short? But when we want it to and it just keeps going?
The battle wasn’t going well for Israel. They needed a miracle to win. Joshua took his authority in the Lord and commanded the sun, moon, and Earth to give them extra time. God answered his request and stopped the earth for about a day
God moved heaven and earth to help His people. He is only a prayer away. And God still does miracles today. He will do the impossible for you. Believe Him and His promises and see His hand in your life.
Action Step: Pray and ask Jesus to do the impossible for you. No request is too big for Him. Have faith that He Will Do it.
Lord Jesus, I Ask You from my impossible miracle today. I Believe You are doing it. Loose the chains that have kept me down for so long. Thank You for Your miracles in my life today.
