Let the Redeemed Say So

November 22 | Psalm 107:1-3

“Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever! Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he has redeemed from trouble and gathered in from the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south.” (Psalm 107:1–3, ESV)

The reasons to praise the Lord and thank Him are many. The Bible lists many reasons to bless the Lord. But even more than that are the many reasons you personally have to praise Him. And the longer you live the more reasons you have.

God’s goodness to you is immeasurable. Every good gift He has for you pours down from heaven upon your life. His goodness and love for you continues from now into eternity. The fact that you will be with Jesus in heaven forever is a blessing in itself.

Jesus has redeemed your life from the grave. Even if you die you will be with Him forever. He has redeemed your life, bought you back from slavery to sin and set your feet on solid ground. He has given you a great inheritance.

And how can you repay such wonderful gifts? You can live your life choosing to serve and glorify God with everything you do. Pour out your heart in thanksgiving for all His blessings. Let Jesus know how thankful you are for His indescribable gift in words and actions.

I have observed couples often grow farther apart when they don’t express their love for one another daily. The same could happen with your relationship with Jesus. Don’t let Him wonder how you feel about Him.

Action Step: Think of ways to show Jesus your gratitude for His blessings. What can you do to thank Him for His goodness and love toward you? What words express how you feel?

Jesus, You have filled my life with blessings and goodness. Thank You for my family, salvation, job, reputation in my community, another day to serve You. I want to serve You and give You a good reputation everywhere I go. I want everyone to know how much You have done for me.
