With the reading of my healing book finished, and the editor returning the edited version to me, I am focusing on the book cover design and getting the book to my beta readers and book launch team. The Christmas and New Year’s season is also upon us. So, I’m also taking some time to enjoy the festivities. Of course, this makes it a little harder to produce a book.
For the first time, I am using a computer voice system to produce an audiobook version of the book for my beta readers. I don’t know if I will make this available as another medium for the book. I am considering reading the book myself for an audiobook version. We’ll see how that goes. In the meantime, I have only been writing blog posts and Daily Devos. I plan on making all my Daily Devos into a book early in the new year.
There’s so much going on! Many great things are happening. But, my writing and planning for my next book will probably be on the back burner until the new year. The flurry of activity around Christmas and New Year’s gets first attention. I’m really excited about launching this book into the world. I think it will be a signature book, showing people what it’s like to be a quadriplegic, but trusting God for His total healing.
I’ll keep you posted on my writing projects for 2023. I need to learn how to not make a gazillion projects and barely accomplish two or three of them. Perhaps that’s my lesson for the new year. I hope you and yours are having a Merry Christmas season. Until next week I’ll try to keep my head above water.
Jonathon, I so excited to read your posts! The idea of an audiobook is awesome. As Mark and I cultivated our relationship long distance, I became a huge fan of this medium.
Hi Betsy. I am leaning toward doing an audiobook, reading the book myself, because it is the most personal book I have written. I think having my voice behind the book creates a better impression for the listener. It will be an adventure if I go through with it. I’ve never done an audiobook before. Plus, it will save me money to do it myself. 🙂
