February 16 | Colossians 1:18-20

“And He is the head of the body, the Church, who is the beginning, the firstborn out of the dead so that in everything He might be ranked first, for in Him all the fullness was delighted to dwell, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, making peace through the blood of His Cross, whether things on earth or things in the heavens,” (Colossians 1:18–20)
Dead people walk all around us. They think they have life, but they have no idea what they’re missing in Jesus. They search for answers, something to fulfill them. But they search in all the wrong places.
Jesus is where it’s at. He reigns as king and Lord of everything. He leads the Church into His fullness and goodness. A lifetime of living with Jesus brings great fruit and satisfaction to us. All of God’s fullness dwells in Christ. He is fully God and fully human.
You can plumb the depths of Jesus, be satisfied, but always be longing for more. He never disappoints. There is always more of Jesus to know, love, and serve. Jesus came to earth to fix your relationship with God.
Without Him, there would be no hope or joy. But now you have come to Jesus, Savior of the world, repairing your relationship so you could know and love Him. No greater gift has ever been given or come at such a cost.
Action Step: Celebrate Jesus’s Lordship and Kingship over the Church and all creation. His greatness is limitless. Thank Him for His resurrection power over death so you will be raised with Him.
Jesus, I glorify Your name! You are in control. Nothing happens without Your say-so. As I grow more and more in You, our relationship just gets deeper. Your greatness knows no bounds. I bow and silence as I contemplate Your greatness and goodness to me.
