January 28 | Ephesians 1:3-4

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ, even as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him, in love” (Ephesians 1:3–4)
In school, I was always picked last in gym class for just about everything. But don’t feel bad for me. I’m really short and legally blind. I usually ended up watching from the sidelines because I couldn’t play the games.
There’s nothing like being chosen and favored by others. God chose you in Him before the foundation of the world. That makes you very special to Him. But He didn’t just choose you for fun. He had His reasons.
One of them was to make you holy and blameless in Him. This doesn’t come easy or cheap. He sent Jesus to die on the cross for you, u could be part of His family. But if you’re going to dwell with God for eternity, you must be holy like Him.
He changes you from the inside out. He chose you to be like Him, but it also brings growing pains. His spiritual blessings are all yours in Christ. He chose you to be blessed and holy. His blessings aren’t always clear to us. Sometimes we don’t see them until after they had been given to us. But He lavishes them upon us as a generous Father.
Action Step: Thank God for His many spiritual blessings for you. Praise Him for being chosen to be holy and blameless. Endure the trials that bring His strength and improve your character, and faith in your life.
Heavenly Father, I can’t believe You chose me to be like You. May Your Holy Spirit help me become blameless in You. Thank You for Your many blessings You pour out in my life. I praise You for Your plan for me.
