November 26 | Psalm 103:1-5
“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” (Psalm 103:1–5, ESV)
Remember what it’s like on Christmas morning when you open a gift and receive a blessing you never expected? Even though you never mentioned what you wanted that’s exactly what you got. The joy that came over you.
Thank the Lord that He pours out His blessings upon you, though you don’t deserve any of them! The Lord’s benefits never cease. Before you can thank Him He lavishes more on you.
First and foremost, the Lord forgives all your sins. He forgave you at salvation and continues to forgive every sin you confess before Him. Jesus is faithful and just! And merciful. Though you disappoint Him with unfaithfulness He faithfully forgives you.
He heals all your diseases. You walk in health because Jesus protects your body and soul. Even emotional and relational healing are in His wings. And He redeems your life from the grave. Though you may physically die, because you know Christ you will be with Him throughout eternity.
The Lord crowns you with His everlasting love and mercy. You walk in His goodness and blessings every day. His promises are yours forever. He gives you every good thing. He dotes over you as your Heavenly Father. Though your body may age your spirit remains young and vibrant in Him.
Action Step: Show your gratitude to the Lord by remembering His blessings. Pour out your heart of gratitude to the Lord in your own words.
Precious Jesus, thank you for so many gifts you lavish on me! I walk in Your blessings and goodness every day. You are way too good to me.
