Between Balance and Rush

So, some of you may have noticed I was late getting my review of the Top 5 Bible Study Websites out there yesterday. I have been fine with this new schedule I still lacking balance. Like yesterday, some of my projects have had to be rushed.

I could list some excuses as to why this happened this Wednesday, but that won’t do me any good and you probably don’t want to hear any excuses. If you’ve been reading these for a while, you know I’ve used that word – excuses – before. I guess one my new goals is to stop using that word or having them.

Sometimes rush happens in our lives matter what we do. All of us have been there. All of us have asked that the deadline we either set for ourselves or was set for us. That’s why I love one of the greatest Christian ever – grace. I hope you had some for me yesterday.

I am always seeking a balance in my writing and everything else I’m doing. I don’t always reach it. In fact, because I said so many balls and tasks for each day, I should say I almost never reach it. I am also living there needs to be some time to relax. I did that Sunday with my parents, and it was an enjoyable time.

We need to plan last into our days and weeks. The mind and body were not designed to be going all the time. I have learned that if I do not take time for rest I do not reach a productivity level that helps me manage everything I am doing. The paradox is that God gave us rest to actually make things us more productive. More about that in my upcoming BIG Issue 5, 62 for that on Monday. I’m still not happy with my work ethic and lack of balance this year yet. But because of what’s coming up, I need to learn very quickly how to have that balance. We all need that so we don’t have to rush and stress ourselves out. That’s about all for this week’s installment of the Author News. I’ll touch back here next week and let you know how I’m doing with balance.
