April 15 | Joshua 1:9

Daily Bread

“Have I not commanded you: be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you walk.”” (Joshua 1:9)

Are you afraid to fulfill your God ordained destiny? God had to push Moses and Joshua into their calling. Moses objected four times to leading Israel. Joshua felt unprepared to take Moses’ mantle of leadership.

But that’s just it. Moses had been grooming him for the position for many years. No matter how competent you feel, you have that lingering question in the back of your mind. God knows how to encourage you. He told Joshua three times to be strong and courageous. God was already going to do great things in his life and through him for Israel.

It’s time for you to be strong and courageous, to step out in faith and fulfill God’s ministry in you. People are waiting to be ministered to God will go with you and guide you.

God’s Spirit dwells within you. His presence goes with you everywhere. When God is with you, there’s nothing you cannot do. He gives you the strength and power to accomplish His plan and mission for you.

Action Step: Step out in faith. Listen to God’s voice. Rely on Him for the strength and power to fulfill His mission for you. What has He called you to do? Do it with all your might.

Holy Spirit, give me Your power and strength to do mighty things for God. Jesus has called me to change my world for Him. Give me divine opportunities to share my faith and minister to people’s needs. Go before me and prepare my way.
