November 2 | Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.” (Proverbs 3:5–8, ESV)
These days there are so many voices out there it’s hard to know who to trust. Every voice you turn to lets you down in some way or another. In a world with so many different voices there’s only one place you can turn to and fully trust.
Jesus has never led you astray. Every promise He makes will come to pass. He’s never let you down. So give your whole self to Him. Turn your heart over to the Master. Listen only to His voice. So many times your understanding has caused you grief.
You can only trust Jesus. When you lean on Him He will not drop you. Jesus gives you a firm foundation. He doesn’t lie to you. So there’s only one choice that makes sense. Every decision you face, plan you make, and step you take must be informed by His will and ways.
Trying to solve your own problems only gets you deeper into trouble. Jesus has a way out of your problems that pleases God. Fearing the Lord by listening to His voice and following His counsel brings healing to your situation.
Action Step: Seek the Lord and His counsel for every problem you face. Lean on Him and His wisdom. He will never lead you astray. Trust His word is always true.
Lord Jesus, in my troubles today I turn to You. I seek Your wisdom. I know you will show me what to do. I only want to glorify You with every decision. Shine Your light on me as I walk in Your ways.
