I just realized I haven’t released an author news update for at least a couple of weeks. Sorry about that. I have had a lot going on. This week, I have gotten a little sidetracked. I started looking at next year’s projects, the things I did not get this year. I usually do this in December but after I started thinking about it, it was all I thought about. Instead of wasting my time surfing the internet, I started planning.

I have to be careful about doing a lot of activity but not producing anything. Sometimes that happens to me. It’s the next worst thing to procrastination. It’s not the same as writing but it gave me some peace about what I’m going to do next year in my writing. I have a lot planned out for this coming year. I’ll be letting you know about what I’m involved in and what I want to write about and publish.

This year, I only published one book. I had planned on several books to be published. I’m glad for the positive responses I’ve gotten back on the book I did publish, Healed in the Name of Jesus. I’m starting a new blog series titled the same as the book in the beginning of January. Whereas I could not completely cover the subject of healing and one book, I am doing that very thing in the blog series. I think you’ll enjoy it.

I am feverishly working on a book on prayer and fasting. Many churches call for corporate and personal prayer and fasting at the beginning of the year. I do not believe this book will be ready by the new year but I will give it my best shot. It not only includes a devotion for every day of the prayer and fasting but a study to go deeper if a person wishes. It will also have helps for people on how to fast and pray.

I only have about 50 more devotions to edit in my devotional coming out next year for sure. This will be the biggest book I ever produce (hopefully). I would like to release that book shortly after the prayer and fasting book. I have kept my focus on these two projects because I find myself not doing well when I have more than two projects going at once. It’s a hard lesson for me to learn to focus on just two things.

Many more things are in the works for next year. But I haven’t given up on this year. If nothing else, I will be preparing to release some books close to the beginning of the new year. With all that said and giving you an update on my writing projects, I am also working on blog posts for next year, as well as some new things on my website. I think you will enjoy some new features I’m bringing out. It’s time to get back to writing and preparing to release some great things. I’ll see you in my next Author News next week!
