So this week I have been doing a lot of organizing. First, I was organizing my book on the Lord’s Supper. I needed a better way to approach the book that was less chaotic. I put all the things I can think of into parts. I came out with 10 parts and around 56 chapters.
Sounds like a lot? It is. But it is all under the framework of this being a book of research and devotional thoughts about the Lord’s Supper. When you think about how short most of the chapters will be, it doesn’t seem that big.
I am the kind of person who must have things organized to be the most productive as a writer. It took a lot of time this week but that will pay off in faster writing. There’s a whole lot of research to do for many of the sections, but I know which sections will need that research.
I have also been trying to organize my book projects into a more possible framework and dating system. I will not be able to publish as much as I had hoped. I was actually hoping to publish another book before my MinistrieSummit (District Council). Last year, I got a table and sold my books there, and that was awesome. I got to meet a lot of people.
This year, so far I will only have the one extra book, the devotional. But there may be people that haven’t seen any of my books. Last year, we were down by Philadelphia. This year we are in Erie, the west side of the state. There’s a good chance many of the people there would not have gone the whole way to Philadelphia. I didn’t get a whole lot of writing done this week, other than my blog, but I made progress a person like me has to make for me to be productive for the next couple of months. I’m thankful for everyone who reads anything I have written. You are all a blessing to me!
